Lifecycle
Immediate payment success is only one step. The lane reaches completion when funding and closeout evidence arrive.
Lifecycle stages
The lane starts with merchant-presented QR and an immediate payment result, then continues through settlement progress, any refund or return handling, and final closeout assembly.
A completed lane gives the merchant one coherent status: whether the payment was accepted, whether merchant funding is confirmed, and whether the close pack is complete.
Immediate result vs closeout completion
| Checkpoint | Meaning | Required output |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate payment result | The payment request was accepted or rejected at the network and acceptance layer. | A canonical payment result record. |
| Settlement confirmation | Merchant funding is confirmed on the settlement calendar for the active lane. | Settlement evidence or settlement status update. |
| Closeout completion | Payment, funding, and exception status are complete enough for downstream reporting. | Close pack with reconciliation state. |
